1995 - Rotorua
The National Gathering was held in Rotorua from 3rd to 5th March 1995.
A wonderful time was had by all at this gathering.
It began with open house at Brian and Sheryl Crook's (3-3-1 l) in Rotorua, some of us getting lost finding Icarus Place. Next day, on the 4th, the general meeting was held, members deciding the annual sub be forwarded to the National Secretary in Gore.
It was agreed the Robertson grave at Warepa be restored and a plaque on Alexander Ayson's grave at Wyndham.
Ayson Clifford (1-1-2) moved Chief Peter to appoint a sub-chief if necessary.

Next gathering in four years in Blenheim 1999 then Warepa 2003 (150 years since Peter's landing).
Eighty adults and six children were at the gathering. Following dinner on Saturday night Les Green played some tenor horn solos, Robbie Burn' poems were read and there was some dancing. We had the addressing of the Haggis and pipe music during our dinner.
Ayson Clifford gave an inspiring address on Sunday morning.
Grateful thanks to Brian and Sheryl Crook and Arden Pargeter (l -13-l) for their work in making this event successful.
