About the Clan Ayson Family Tree
From our original four families who came to New Zealand in 1853 and 1856 and produced twenty nine children between them, we now have over 6700 descendants in our Family Tree Maker programme.
To have such a large database to draw on is due to those before us who have recorded all births, deaths and marriages in great detail, and we are fortunate that this has been published in “The Ayson Story, Glenshee to Otago, 1853 – 2000.”
As a Clan there is so much that we can discover about ourselves just with the touch of a button or a swipe on a phone.
It would be incredible if our forebears could see how we access information about their journey and just how many thousands of people can say they link somehow to those four pioneer families.
